Organizing Doula:

Have you heard of Swedish Death Cleaning?  According to the website of a popular book it’s “A charming, practical, and unsentimental approach to putting a home in order while reflecting on the tiny joys that make up a long life…  a kind of decluttering called döstädning, dö meaning “death” and städning meaning “cleaning”; a “radical and joyous method for putting things in order (that) makes the process uplifting rather than overwhelming.”

It’s okay with me if you’re sentimental; it’s healing to reflect on your loved one’s life while organizing his or her things, then letting go of what you are ready to release. Our things are full of memories and stories.  By carefully choosing which of your loved one’s things to keep, and which to let go, you can start a new chapter.
We want spaces in our homes to honor our loved ones, but how do we decide what to do with each and every item? When we meet, we’ll talk big picture about your needs and wishes; this looks different for everyone.

My goal is to support you by offering personal guidance, emotional support and practical resources.
  • We will put your loved one’s things in order in a way that feels good to you.
  • We’ll set goals together and work at your pace to figure out the perfect level of support for you, problem solving creatively as we go.
