The name Silver Wheel End of Life Doula Care was inspired by a Celtic myth.
Arianrhod, known as the Lady of the Silver Wheel, was an unusual goddess; a feminist goddess who defied gender expectations to do her important work. A shape shifting goddess who used her abilities to peer into human fear, and inspire people to realize their potential, she spreads comfort but encourages experiential learning. She is said to guide the souls of the dead on their journey.

“A free spirited Goddess who is not prepared to bend to anyone’s expectations of her.’ (goddess-guide.com), Arianrhod (Arian meaning 'silver', and Rhod meaning 'wheel' or 'disc') is the Celtic Moon-Mother Goddess. The moon is the archetypal female symbol, representing the Mother Goddess connecting womb, death, rebirth, creation. A star and moon Goddess, Arianrhod was also called the Silver Wheel because the dead were carried on her Oar Wheel to Emania (the Moon-land or land of death), which belonged to her as a deity of reincarnation and karma. It is said that Arianrhod hosts the dead between incarnations, giving them rest and peace before rebirth. Each initiate’s soul is said to withdraw between incarnations to her constellation in the Aurora Borealis called Caer Arianrhod. Thus, Arianrhod she is identified as a Goddess of reincarnation. Arianrhod is said to be able to shape shift into a large Owl, and through the great Owl-eyes, sees even into the darkness of the human subconscious and soul.

The Owl symbolizes death and renewal, wisdom, moon magic, and initiations. She is said to move with strength and purpose through the night, her wings of comfort and healing spread to give solace to those who seek her. (thewhitegoddess.co.uk)
She dwells at the liminal spaces, whether it’s between stages of life or between lifetimes. She can’t stand to see potential wasted. She doesn’t even seem to care what the potential is for, so long as it is the very best it can be. No matter what it is, she will help you realize it. She stands at the moment of transition between What Was and What Will Be… her primary emphasis, in fact, is encouraging that moment of manifesting potential.
